Mike Scher

Director of Neohapsis Labs. An attorney and systems security specialist, Mike has experience in IT risk mitigation on both the legal and technical fronts. At Neohapsis, he coordinates pre-release testing of security products for vendors, criteria-based testing for end-users, and objective, third-party testing for publication. Before joining Neohapsis, Mike was Director of Security and Network Infrastructure for an e-commerce startup, and worked as a Sr. Network Security Consultant for the Tribune Company, building and auditing both corporate policy and corporate firewalls. In his copious free time, he continues to work towards a PhD. in Anthropology at the University of Chicago, where his research has focused on unauthorized access to computers and communications systems where there is no fiscal motive apparent.
