David J. Loundy
David J. Loundy is the Associate Director and an adjunct professor at
The John Marshall Law School's Center for Information Technology and Privacy
law, where he teaches "Computer Crime, Information Warfare and Economic
Espionage" and "Governance and Regulation of Cyberspace."
Mr. Loundy has more than one hundred publications in his name in the areas
of intellectual property, technology and Internet law, including law review
articles, articles in refereed journals, a treatise chapter on Internet
law, magazine, newspaper and newsletter articles, and book chapters published
in the U.S., and Japan, as well as a forthcoming chapter to be published
by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. He is a former
columnist for the Cyberspace Lawyer, a publication for which he serves
on the Board of Editors, and for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Mr. Loundy
is a former contributing author to Government Technology magazine. Some
of his published works have been published translated into Japanese, Korean
and French.
Mr. Loundy is a past chair of the Chicago Bar Association's Computer Law
Committee, and is currently an appointed member and Vice-Chair of the
Illinois State Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section Council,
for which he also chairs the Internet Law Subcommittee. Mr. Loundy was
also an appointed member of the Illinois State Bar Association's Standing
Committee on Media Law.
Mr. Loundy is a graduate of Purdue University (B.A.) 1990 with distinction
and University of Iowa College of Law (J.D.) 1993 with distinction. He
is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association,
Chicago Bar Association, Computer Law Association, and Global Cyberlaw
Network.
