William Hodor

William Hodor is an attorney at the Federal Trade Commission's Midwest Region office in Chicago. The FTC is an independent administrative agency responsible for maintaining competition and safeguarding the interests of consumers. The Midwest Region does both consumer protection and antitrust work for the Commission. Its geographic area covers the 11 states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Mr. Hodor joined the Midwest Region in 1998 and has concentrated his work on consumer protection issues, including those issues involving the use of computers and the Internet. Mr. Hodor's responsibilities include investigating companies and individuals suspected of engaging in unfair acts or practices affecting commerce and seeking to permanently restrain those acts through the filing of federal district court cases.

Mr. Hodor received his B.A. in economics, cum laude, from Lawrence University and his law degree from DePaul University College of Law. Prior to joining the FTC as an attorney, Mr. Hodor worked for the Chicago office of Piper, Marbury, Rudnick & Wolfe.

Mr. Hodor resides in Barrington, Illinois
